PROJECT I-DISABILITY INCLUSIVE TEACHER TRAINING PILOT

Dakar, Senegal, West Africa

Project 1:  INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES IN SENEGAL

Project Description: CSEIA is exploring collaborations with public schools in Dakar and surrounding regions that specifically provide instruction and services to children and youth with special needs. 


CSEIA will partner with the current school leadership to create an on-site "pilot program" that will include: demonstration classrooms, a co-teaching model of instruction, and consultation on sustaining an effective learning environment for children and youth with diverse learning needs.


Project Needs:

  • Donations of instructional materials, learning supplies, and recreational materials 
  • Volunteers for curriculum and training development
  • Volunteers for fundraising
  • Volunteers for on-site professional development and training 
  • Donations for shipping of related materials

PROJECT IB-ECE LEARNING CENTERS/ TEACHER TRAINING

Mboumba, Senegal, West Africa

Project 1B: REVAMPING AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SITE IN SENEGAL 


Project Description: CSEIA is exploring a collaboration with an early childhood education site that serves the majority of the preschool population in this region. 


CSEIA will partner with the current school leadership to create a "pilot program" on-site that will include; demonstration classrooms, instruction that focuses on academic and social skills development, "make and take" workshops with hands-on instruction for teachers and families, and consultation on creating and sustaining an effective learning environment for early learners with diverse learning needs.

  • Volunteers for fundraising
  • Volunteers for on-site professional development and training

PROJECT II-HYBRID MODEL TEACHER TRAINING

Liberia, West Africa

 

PROJECT II: HYBRID INSTRUCTION FOR NON-TRADITIONAL LEARNERS IN LIBERIA, WEST AFRICA [Phase II-Feasibility Study]


Project Description: CSEIA is exploring collaborations with partners in education to secure and equip mobile units with adaptable learning spaces, instructional resources, and student materials. 


CSEIA is also developing a hybrid model of teacher training to provide expanded access and flexibility to meet the learning needs of non-traditional learners from selected areas that are more remote and distant from the main school sites.  


Project Needs:

  • Donations of secondary education learning supplies and materials
  • Volunteers for curriculum and training development
  • Volunteers for fundraising
  • Volunteers for on-site professional development and training
  • Donations for the purchase and equipping of mobile units 
  • Donations for shipping of related materials
